Before attending ACE Camp, I
wanted to be a flight attendant
so that I could travel around
the world. After experiencing
Dream Flight in 2006, my mind
was forever changed. Being a
girl, I thought that becoming
a pilot was not for us until
I went to the ACE Camp. Today,
my career decision is to be
a commercial pilot and fly like
the big boys! My quest is to
participate in Flight Line,
prepare for my solo next year,
and attend an aviation college
upon graduation from high school.
All of my dreams shifted as
a result of one day in Washington,
D.C. at Dream Flight. I still
have the 2007 Dream Flight shirt
that I will treasure and keep
forever.

“To say that taking part in
ACE Camp was incredible and
amazing, or anything else would
be an understatement. I don’t
know how to capture the feelings
I felt, because I don’t think
it is possible until you actually
experience it.”
Gloria Fuller

“ACE showed me that someday
I can be a pilot if I work hard,
go to college and keep in touch
with OBAP and the friends I
made. The camp was free and
fun and the graduation certificate
is something I will always be
proud of.”
Tyrone Webb

“The camp is not just
about learning how to fly, for
me it’s understanding there
are other careers I can shoot
for in aviation. The trip to
Washington on Dream Flight helped
me learn about traditions and
stuff like that at the museum.
I don’t know what I want to
do yet but I know I want to
work in aviation after college.
I really like talking to the
women pilots and they let me
know someday I can become a
fly-girl.”
